The CA Alumnae/i Association and its volunteer committees serve both the alumnae/i community and the school in their missions. Explore the opportunities to get involved at CA today – serve as an admissions interviewer, support your class as the Secretary or help to organize regional gatherings in your city! Every year we are engaging more and more alumnae/i in making sure that your connection to CA remains strong, whether you are local to Concord or live across the globe. We hope you’ll get involved, in any way you can!
Class secretaries are CA’s largest group of alumnae/i volunteers who work throughout the year to keep their classmates connected to one another and engaged with the school. They collect Class Notes, which are published annually in the spring edition of CA Magazine. Through their relationships with classmates, class secretaries play a critical role in helping CA to maintain a strong alumnae/i community.
Alumnae/i Community & Equity Committee
The Community and Equity Committee of the CA Alumnae/i Association includes the school’s alumnae/i in conversations and initiatives around issues of diversity and equity at CA today. Their goal is to bring students, faculty, staff, and alumnae/i together to examine identity, build community, challenge inequity, and support social justice activism. The Alumnae/i C&E Committee provides support and opportunities to connect underrepresented groups within the student and alumnae/i community to each other.
Alumnae/i Admissions Interviewer
Alumnae/i Admissions Interviewers support the work of the Admissions Office by interviewing prospective CA students and demonstrating that the CA connection lasts a lifetime. Throughout the fall and early winter, these local alumnae/ volunteers give their time on Saturdays by spending their day on campus. They play a key role in helping to shape future generations of CA students.
Alumnae/i Annual Fund Committee
The Alumnae/i Annual Fund Committee supports the work of the Annual Fund team through peer-to-peer fundraising and building meaningful relationships within the CA community. Committee members communicate the philanthropic priorities of the school and the need for alumnae/i support to achieve ambitious and important goals.
CAYAC Committee (Concord Academy Young Alumnae/i Community)
The Concord Academy Young Alumnae/i Community (CAYAC) consists of any alumnae/i who have graduated from CA within the last fifteen years. The CAYAC Committee leads the young alumnae/i community by encouraging attendance at local and regional events, serving as college ambassadors, facilitating networking and engagement opportunities, and conducting Annual Fund outreach to classmates and friends. These volunteers are critical in helping CA keep young alumnae/i engaged through programs and Annual Fund participation.
The Joan Shaw Herman Award Selection Committee
The Joan Shaw Herman Award Selection Committee engages the school’s alumnae/i in the selection process of the only award presented in the CA community — given to a member of the CA community to honor a lifetime of service. Members of the committee participate in the annual selection process each spring. Click here to learn more.
Alumnae/i Regional Committees
The regional committees facilitate meaningful experiences for CA alumnae/i across the globe by organizing gatherings and activities in their area/region. With regional volunteer leadership in New England and New York, CA is looking to expand our reach to more cities and we would love your help!
